GET READY FOR A FULL DAY OF MOVEMENT, MUSIC & MINDFULNESS
Things to do before you arrive.
Take some time to plan ahead for your Ananda experience.
1
Explore the event schedule.
Gates open at 8:30am and opening ceremonies will begin at 9am. Starting at 10am, yoga experiences will be facilitated simultaneously in different areas of White Park. At the top of each hour (11am, 12pm, and 1pm) another set of offerings will be shared. The keynote address will begin at 2pm followed by the afternoon concert in the park from 3pm-6pm. Check out the event schedule and explore the offerings you’re most drawn to.
2
Consider mindful marketplace offerings.
There are very special products and services being offered at the mindful marketplace. You’ll want to consider which offerings you don’t want to miss and plan accordingly.
3
Consider meal options.
Enjoy a meal from the food vendors. Or, pack a picnic lunch. White Park’s grassy spaces and shade trees create a variety of picnic spots for everyone to enjoy.
Map the venue and plan for parking.
White Park is a 5-acre green space located in the heart of downtown Riverside (3936 Chestnut Street, Riverside CA 92501). The perimeter of the park is enclosed by a fence that runs along bordering roads (Market Street, Hilgado Place, Chestnut Street, and Whittier Place). Dales Senior Center is located at the northwest end of White Park adjacent to Chestnut Street. Entrance and exit to the festival is located on Market Street.
Curbside metered parking is available throughout downtown Riverside with no time limit. Metered parking is FREE on weekends. Parking lots and garages near White Park offer hourly visitor parking. All municipal parking garages are FREE on weekends. The closest municipal parking garage is located on Market Street between University Avenue and Mission Inn Avenue. The privately-owned Mission Square parking garage is located across the street from White Park on Market Street (3370 9th Street, Riverside, CA 92501). Rates vary with a $20 maximum cost per day.

Start packing!
Be sure your festival packing list includes the essentials: yoga mat, blanket or towel, sunscreen, hat, cozy outer layer, and reusable bottle.
WEAR SHOES THAT MAKE YOUR FEET HAPPY
Comfort is key, so make sure to wear shoes that can trek over grass and are easy to take off for asana practice.
KEEP SUNSCREEN HANDY
Sunscreen is an important item on your festival packing list. Make sure to apply a generous amount of SPF 30 or higher to any exposed skin at least 15 minutes before heading out in the sun. Reapply every two hours, especially if you’re staying active.
PLAN FOR THE WEATHER
Consider bringing a sunhat, sunglasses, and a cooling towel. It might be cool in the morning and evening so don't forget to include layers in your festival packing list like a hoodie, sweater, or windbreaker.
BRING A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE
Staying hydrated throughout the festival is key, so make sure you bring along a reusable water bottle. There will be free refilling stations that you can use to replenish. Another idea is to freeze your water bottle the night before so it stays cold throughout the next day, sipping as the ice melts. Whatever you do, don't forget to bring your own water bottle to avoid plastic waste.
PACK SNACKS
Pack items like energy bars, dried fruits and nuts, crackers, and pre-packaged snacks that won't spoil. Opt for resealable bags to carry your snacks.
ADD A PICNIC BLANKET
Also, consider bringing a packable blanket to keep cozy while you enjoy live performances and picnic under the shade trees.
PHONE OR NO PHONE?
It’s totally up to you! Maybe you want to unplug for the day and go screen free. Or maybe you would like to include your phone, especially the photo features to capture meaningful moments? The choice is yours. If you choose to bring a phone, consider packing a portable charger for all-day use.
STASH SOME CASH
Make sure to bring enough cash for your purchases.
